Welcome to PittsPictures, the photographic portfolio of Thomas Pitts BSc (Hons) ARAes.
Thomas is a 25 year old, graduate of the University of Hertfordshire and is completely obsessed with Aviation, hence the degree in Aerospace Technology. Thomas was awarded a First Class Honours degree and was the recipient of the inaugural 'John Houlder Engineering Flying Scholarship' in 2008/2009.
Thomas is currently employed as a Mechanical Systems Certification Engineer at a well established Aircraft Cabin Interiors Company where he intends to develop his experience and knowledge of the Aerospace Certification Industry ahead of a planned Masters Degree in Airworthiness. His current project involves the next generation of wide body airliner, the Airbus A350XWB.
Thomas also holds a National Private Pilots License and has flown several types including Tiger Moth, Harvard, Cessna 152 and Pa-28 Warrior II and has plans to carry out a full tailwheel type conversion onto a Pa-18 Super Cub.
Thomas has been attending airshows since September 2000, but has only been been photographing aircraft and air shows since 2005.
Thomas currently uses a Canon 50D Body with a 17-85mm USM IS & 70-300mm USM IS lens.
Thomas has been lucky enough to have been published in both local press and international press (Flypast & Today's Pilot)
Other subjects that Thomas has turned his lens on include Motorsport, Climbing and various General (including Wedding) photographic subjects.
